How To Use This File

I am providing this file as an addendum to the 5th edition of Kayak Charleston: Trips Within an Hour of Charleston. It has 3 objectives:

1. Provides new short “Out and Back” trips.

When the pandemic started, I resorted to doing trips that required no shuttle. The ones listed here are my favorite ones.

2. Provides “New Trips” developed since the 5th edition. Some may be “Out and Back” but because they are longer than the trips in the “Out and Back” section, I call them “loop trips”.  Loop trips do not involve a shuttle.

3. Provides updates for the 5th edition.  

I have decided not to publish a 6th edition. Rather, this serves as the updates and new trips that would have appeared seamlessly in a 6th edition.

Pages numbers match the 5th edition. I recommend you go through your 5th edition and mark the pages for which this addendum applies.

Example, I revised the directions to Bulow Landing and provided 3 new short trips. Bulow Landing is on page 45 in the 5th edition. The corresponding page in this addendum is also numbered page 45.  You should put a star on page 45 of the 5th edition so you will know to look at this addendum.

I highly recommend you obtain a copy of the 5th edition since all references correspond to it.  Retail price is $18, and the book is available at many local stores.
